About the event

What Will You Walk Away Knowing?

This session gives you a working framework for protecting your clients and your practice — not just a list of legal terms. By the end, you’ll be able to:

  • Identify your ethical and regulatory obligations for protecting client welfare, records, and continuity of care if you die, become disabled, or transition your practice.

  • Describe the core components of a written professional will — including client notification, records custody, and coverage for active clients and supervisees.

  • Distinguish between the three primary succession paths (liquidate, keep, or sell) and evaluate the client-care implications of each.

  • Leave with a structured framework to start drafting or updating your own practice’s continuity plan.
